A proof of concept can be conducted either before an implementation or it can be the first phase.

This involves building a prototype which enables us to validate the feasibility of the system and present the solution.
As well as identifying potential design issues it allows both client and implementer to get up to speed quickly on the system and client requirements.

We define a certain area of the business that is both critical and is able to stand on its own.  A requirements document will be drawn up and then the proof of concept build will carried out and tested with the client to ensure that the software meets the need of the business.  This will do the following:-

  1. Ensure the software meeting business needs without investing in a full project.
  2. Gets staff comfortable with using new software.
  3. Involves staff in the process of building trust and experience.
