Moving to Oracle

NSK Europe had been using SunSystems 4 for many years and considered upgrading to version 6 but their parent company wanted all the subsidiary companies to move to Oracle Financials.   They needed to extract data from SunSystems version 4 in the format defined by their Oracle partner.

SQL Extracts.

Due to the volume of data and the format that they were required meant that using any standard report or extract would not be appropriate, so we wrote SQL extracts to get and transform the data ready for importing into Oracle.

We worked closely with NSK staff to ensure that the data was correct and up to date.

Move to Oracle

The move to Oracle was successful and the NSK were very happy with the results.

Carnaby was sorry to lose a client but most importantly they are now on the right platform for there business.

Moving Back to SunSystems from Dynamics AX

Stemcor has moved most of their operations to Dynamics AX, however, this solution was not seen to be right for their head office function.  We were tasked with extracting data from AX and importing data back into SunSystems V4.

Data Extraction & Importing

We helped the Stemcor staff extract the data from Dynamics AX and then created the import files for getting data into SunSystems v4.

Once the data was in SunSystems 4 we helped update reports.

Stemcor was happy with the results and asked us back again to make more changes to SunSystems, they continue to use SunSystems to this day.
