Microsoft has recently launched learning rooms as part of the Microsoft Learn community, aiming to provide individuals with focused online spaces to enhance their skills, engage with experts, and explore various topics related to Azure, business applications, and data and AI. The learning rooms, hosted on Microsoft Teams, offer free and open access, providing dedicated and secure environments for participants to directly interact with verified technical subject matter experts. Microsoft carefully selects room leaders based on their technical proficiency, community support, and expertise in specific topic areas.
Kerry Herger, the community lead on Microsoft’s worldwide learning marketing team, emphasizes that learning rooms offer a collection of new experiences for learners to engage with one another and technical experts. The primary objective is to help the community acquire new skills and knowledge. While numerous learning rooms will focus on Microsoft Azure, there are already eight Business Applications rooms available, covering a range of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform topics. Microsoft Announces Three AI Customer Commitments for Responsible AI
Microsoft is introducing three AI Customer Commitments to support organizations in their responsible AI journey. The commitments aim to address concerns about the potential misuse of AI while harnessing its benefits for innovation and problem-solving. The commitments include:
- Sharing knowledge: Microsoft will share its expertise in developing and deploying AI responsibly through the publication of key documents, such as the Responsible AI Standard, AI Impact Assessment Template, and Transparency Notes. They will also provide training curriculum and invest in dedicated resources to assist organizations globally.
- AI Assurance Program: Microsoft will create an AI Assurance Program to help customers ensure their AI applications meet legal and regulatory requirements for responsible AI. This program will involve regulator engagement support, implementation of the AI Risk Management Framework, customer councils, and regulatory advocacy.
- Support for implementation: Microsoft will provide dedicated resources, including a team of AI legal and regulatory experts, to assist organizations in implementing their own responsible AI governance systems. They will also collaborate with partners like PwC and EY to support mutual customers in deploying responsible AI systems.
