Print labels using an external service (10.0.34)- Warehouse management
The “Print labels using an external service” feature in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations allows businesses to streamline their labeling processes and reduce manual intervention. This feature enables direct interaction between Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management and external labeling platforms such as Loftware NiceLabel and Seagull Scientific BarTender. By integrating with Dynamics 365 SCM, businesses can automate label printing based on specific triggers or events within the SCM system. The BarTender labeling solution is available both as on-premises software and as a cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering that’s named BarTender Cloud. Currently, only BarTender Cloud can be used together with the external label printing service for Supply Chain Management. Learn more >>

User specific product name and description (10.0.34)- Product Information management
User specific product name and description feature enhances the display product information in users’ language feature (already released in 10.0.31) by allowing users to select in which language the product name and description should be showing independently from the user interface language. Before this feature, the product name was displayed in the user’s preferred language specified in the user settings form. However, with this new feature, users can keep the user interface in one language (e.g., English) and display the product name and description in their native language (e.g., French). This feature enhances the display of product information in the user’s language.
Setup:
- Enable “Display product info in user’s language” first and then “User specific product name and description” from feature management workspace.
- Go to Product information management parameters. Under General tab, Enable “Show specified language” (Product info Display language) to Yes.
- Select the language user want product information to see, Ex- French.
- Now, as defined in translations you can see for a product the product description and product name is reflecting in French. (This will be specific to particular user only)
Enhancement to the account structure activation process in application release 10.0.31
In Dynamics 365 Finance, account structures are used to create a set of rules that determine the order and allowed values when entering account numbers in transactions. These structures use the main account and financial dimensions to define the rules. Once an account structure is defined, it must be activated. However, historically, the activation process has been time-consuming and difficult to monitor. Users could not view the activation progress or any errors with the new configuration. If an account structure configuration change caused an error, a user could not find the root error message on the account structure page, but rather needed to dig through batch job logs to find the error message to understand the problem with the new account structure configuration. In order to use this new functionality, enable the feature “Account structure activation performance enhancement” from within feature management. Learn More >>

Automatic Split of Large Financial Journals (10.0.35) – General Ledger
Customers often post financial journals that contain a large quantity of lines. This can cause performance issues. This feature will remove the lines limit setting from the Journal name, and instead automatically split journals into multiple journals based on a line limit defined by Microsoft. Microsoft default line limit will be 1000 lines. In addition, if the number of lines is greater than the defined line limit, the posting will stop and inform the user to post the journal in batch mode. This improves the efficiency of posting financial journals, allowing users to continue with their work. Each new journal created from the split will contain a reference to the original, parent journal. Note that a voucher will never be split across multiple journals, even if the voucher contains more than the line limit. The lines of an individual voucher must always remain in the same journal.
